Attorney Stuart Breakstone, who has been practicing law in Tennessee since 1991, founded Breakstone and Associates in Memphis in 1996. The vast majority of our practice is in the area of family law, and includes divorce and all issues that arise in a divorce, including child custody, support, visitation and property division. We also maintain a general law practice, with an emphasis on litigation of matters in all areas of civil and Commercial law.

We know that the number one complaint many people have about their attorney, and one of the reasons they come to us, is poor communication. We stress open communication with our clients and make ourselves very accessible to them. When our clients call, they talk to us directly and we don't screen our calls.

We also provide our clients with a lot of personal, one-on-one attention. We know that whether they are going through a divorce or other difficult time in their life, our clients need to know that someone is listening to them. We listen and then we get to work, pursuing their case diligently on their behalf. We have an excellent support staff consisting of a paralegal and secretary that also do a fantastic job for our clients.

We play by the rules and hold other attorneys to the same high standards to which we hold ourselves. We're up front and forthcoming with our clients and opposing counsel as well. We maintain a good rapport with opposing counsel, yet we are firm in our demands of them. We are meticulous, organized and thorough in our preparation of each case, pursue them aggressively, and have achieved positive outcomes for our clients.
